Ayurvedic plant-based dyes rich in medicinal values are used to color the fabric in pleasant shades. In rural southern India, where our small dyeing house is located, the fabrics dyed in such a manner are known as ‘healing cloths’ – used more for health than for fashion.
Since our dyes and dyeing process are attuned to nature, the fabric as we see it, imbibes some of nature’s perfect imperfections. While you may observe some imperfections in dyeing and colour bleed in the first few washes, once it is worn-in, the colours stabilize and mature elegantly with further use. We hope you enjoy every bit of the experience!
